Since 1974, ReconcilingWorks: Lutherans for Full Participation has advocated for the full welcome, inclusion, and equity of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and asexual/aromantic (LGBTQIA+) Lutherans in all aspects of the life of their Church, congregations, and community.
THE VISION
To keep expanding the welcome, liberating those who are forced to life in the margins. To keep dismantling barriers and building bridges. To keep working until all of God's beloved have equity.
THE MISSION
ReconcilingWorks advocates for the acceptance, full participation, and liberation of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions within the Lutheran Church.
THE VALUES
We believe that God values and embraces each person as a beloved child, that the Spirit gives a diversity of gifts for the common good, and that Jesus Christ calls us to work for justice.
Lived Out at Christ the Servant
We don't claim to do it perfectly. We don't claim to know it all. In fact, we know we will screw it up at times. As a Reconciling in Christ congregation we are striving to always do better, to be more inclusive, to growing and expanding our welcome, and to learning about the ways we can be more open. Like most, we have a long way to go but we are intentionally working to be a place that demonstrates the full kingdom of God where all are not just welcome but find belonging and are treated equitably and lovingly, no matter what.

If you struggle with these things, then maybe we are the place for you! You are invited to be a part of this community that wrestles with these things, is open and honest, and strives for better. Our welcome statement is just the beginning. There is still much reconciling work to be done!
