2025 STEWARDSHIP APPEAL

With Christ the Servant Lutheran Church located in the heart of the Hunters Woods Plaza, we have a unique opportunity to directly impact the lives of our surrounding community every day. Our congregation must be bold to act and to risk our comfortability in order to live into cultural shifts and meet the needs of an evolving neighborhood.

We are called to find new ways of being church together for the glory of God. Your generosity of time and financial gifts over the next year will allow Christ the Servant to:

  • Enhance hospitality and engagement with whomever the Holy Spirit calls in our midst

  • Support and advocate for those whose voices are typically ignored

  • Develop more ministries to grow beyond just these immediate needs

  • Create more opportunities for connections with all people

  • Directly impact the most vulnerable people in the heart of our neighborhood

2025 Ministry Initiatives

Enhance our hospitality and connections to all people...

by bringing Heather Whitman on full-time as our Minister of Congregational Life. In addition to her current responsibilities, this expanded role will allow for better connections with visitors/guests, dedicated volunteer coordination and deployment, and the development of deeper congregational connections among all members. To meet this need, an additional $480 each week is needed.

Make a greater impact in the community...

by increasing our benevolence and outreach budget to $25,000 or 9% of our income. This additional budget will allow for the full support of ministries that began in 2024 such as the CTS market, supply kits, and other feeding ministries that currently rely on as-hoc funding from the Pastor's discretionary fund. The Pastor's discretionary fund will then be freed up to support new and experimental ministries. To meet this need, an additional $100 each week is needed.

Build greater financial stability for future ministry...

by becoming less dependent on rental income. Fully funding our mission allows for more access to the spaces in our building for mission and ministry as well as, frees up ways to creatively utilize rental income for expanding ministry, rather than sustaining it. To meet this need, an additional $920 each week is needed.
